Websites for Perth fencing
that quote by the metre, up front.

Fencing is one of the few trades where the customer can work out roughly what the job costs before they ring you — it is length times a rate, and they know the length because they can pace it. That makes a per-metre price on the website unusually powerful and unusually rare. The other thing that sets fencing apart is that half the enquiries start with a question that is not about fencing at all: who pays, how high am I allowed, and does the neighbour have to agree.

What is costing you work right now

  • No prices anywhere, in a trade where the quote is length times a rate and every competitor is also hiding it.
  • Nothing about the Dividing Fences Act, so the customer who is mid-argument with a neighbour goes and finds a site that explains it.
  • Pool fencing treated as an afterthought, when it is compliance work with a deadline attached and the highest urgency in the trade.
  • Colorbond, timber, limestone and pool glass all on one page, so none of them ranks for its own search.

The searches that bring you jobs

Not all traffic is equal. These are the ones worth building pages for.

Search What it means
colorbond fencing perth cost per metre The single most valuable search in the trade, and the one almost every fencing site refuses to answer.
pool fencing perth compliance Deadline-driven and urgent. Councils inspect on a cycle and a failed inspection is a phone call that afternoon.
who pays for a dividing fence wa Informational, high volume, and it captures the customer at the exact moment the job becomes real.
limestone retaining wall and fence perth Very Perth. Sloping blocks and limestone go together and the combined job is worth several times a fence alone.
fence installers [suburb] Straightforward local intent. Suburb pages do the work.
gate automation perth Small add-on with good margin, and it is what turns a fence quote into a bigger one.

What we build into every fencing contractor website

A per-metre price list, published

Colorbond at this a metre, timber at this, glass pool panels at this, with what changes it: slope, removal of the old fence, rock, retaining, gates. This is the most commercially valuable thing on a fencing website and the industry standard is to hide it. Publishing lets a customer self-qualify before they ring, which means the calls you take are people who already accept your rate.

The dividing fence explainer

What the Dividing Fences Act actually says about sharing the cost of a sufficient fence, what happens if the neighbour will not engage, and what counts as notice. This is the page people find at 9pm when the fence argument starts, and being the business that explained it calmly is how you get the job without competing on price.

Height rules, by council

The rules vary between local governments, front boundaries are treated differently from side and rear, and getting it wrong means taking it down. A page that says what applies in the councils you work in is enormously useful, ranks with no competition, and quietly proves you are local.

Pool barriers as compliance, not fencing

Gaps, gate latch heights, climbable zones, what the inspector measures, and what a failed inspection means. Your council inspects pool barriers on a cycle, so there is a steady stream of people who have just been told theirs does not comply and need it fixed. That is the most urgent, least price-sensitive work in the trade.

Materials split into their own pages

Colorbond, timber, limestone, aluminium slat, glass. Each is a different search, a different price and a different customer, and one combined page ranks for none of them. Split them and each one can carry its own photos and its own per-metre rate.

Questions fencing contractors ask us

Should I really publish a price per metre?
In this trade, yes, and it is the recommendation we make most confidently. Fencing is length times a rate, the customer can measure the length themselves, and they are going to find a number somewhere — so the only question is whether it is yours with your caveats attached, or a competitor's. Publishing filters out the people who were never going to accept your rate and it makes the remaining calls dramatically easier. State the variables plainly: slope, removal of the old fence, rock, retaining, gates.
Why would I write about who pays for a dividing fence? That is free advice.
Because it is how the job starts. People do not search for a fencing contractor first, they search to find out whether the neighbour has to pay half, and the business that answers that question is the one in front of them when the argument resolves. It is also a page with real search volume and almost no commercial competition, which means it ranks quickly and then keeps working. Free advice that arrives before the purchase is not free.
Is pool fencing worth a separate page?
It is the best page on most fencing sites. Pool barrier work is compliance rather than choice, it has a deadline, and the person searching has usually just been told theirs does not pass. That combination makes it the most urgent and least price-sensitive work you do. Treating it as one line on a services page throws that away.
How specific should the council information be?
Specific enough to be true and general enough that you are not maintaining twenty pages of regulations. Name the councils you actually work in, say what the common height limit is for a standard dividing fence, note that front boundaries are usually treated differently, and tell people to confirm with their council before you build. Being approximately right and honestly caveated beats being silent, and it does more to prove you are local than a paragraph saying you are.
Do fencing suburb pages work?
Yes, as well as for any trade, because fencing is priced partly on travel and people genuinely search by area. What makes them work is having something true to say about each one — block sizes, slope, whether the suburb is limestone country, what the common fence type is there. If a suburb page cannot carry a sentence that is only true of that suburb, it should not exist, and we will tell you that rather than build thirty of them.
